Nepean Candidate Forum

Communities in the Nepean electorate have the chance to elect a local representative who will champion their concerns and ambitions at a state government level. This community forum will help local people hear directly from the candidates to make an informed decision about who to vote for.

Hosted by Mornington Peninsual Shire Council following the launch of the their Shout Out advocacy campaign at the start of September, the council has invited all Nepean electorate candidates to join a panel and share their priorities and vision for the electorate.

The forums are open to the community and give you the opportunity to submit questions on local issues that are important to you.

The Mayor will chair the forum and ask the panel a series of questions received from the community.

You have the option of joining the event via livestream or in person and are asked to pre-submit questions for the panel when you register online to attend the event.

Submit a question

All attendees have the opportunity to submit a question when registering.

Your question will be asked by the Chair if time allows. We will use your questions to guide the Chair and ensure they ask panel members about important community topics of interest. Please note only pre-submitted questions can be asked by the Chair at the event. Questions cannot be taken from the audience on the night due to time constraints.

To enable additional questions from the community, we have asked that candidates are available to speak with you informally immediately after the formal event ends.

The event will be streamed also for those who cannot attend in person.
Registrations are required for all attendees and is free.
