All current directors on the board have decided to step down and will renominate in order to be re-elected at the AGM.
We currently have 4 people on the board but believe it would be ideal to expand this to at least 7 (our constitution allows 9) to better spread the work load and bring more diversity to the leadership team.
Specific board roles to be filled include:
All directors must receive two nominations, which will be taken on the night.
Voting and Proxies
According to our constitution, only regular and junior members are able to vote at the AGM. Associate members may attend but cannot vote.
Regular Members and Junior members have the right to
appoint proxies as follows:
- the proxy does not need to be a member of the company but needs to be a registered voter on the Mornington Peninsula
- the proxy form must be delivered to the company at its registered address or the address (including an electronic address) specified in the notice of the meeting, and
- the proxy form must be delivered to the company at least 48 hours before the meeting.
- A proxy can only vote in writing and is not entitled to vote on a show of hands (but this does not prevent a member appointed as a proxy from voting as a member on a show of hands).
If you have friends that have been thinking about becoming a VMP member, they should do so now! Send them to our website so they can sign up in time to attend the AGM - we will temporarily suspend new member sign ups from Monday 15 August until after the AGM.
